Me and Crystal Heis have shared many a smoke break along this rail. She doesn’t smoke. Never did. I don’t smoke now, but I used to have a two-pack-a-day habit. This was how we passed time in the Reynolds Building when we were in college in the early 90’s. We laughed, I smoked. Sometimes I brought along my beloved Sadie dog and she took smoke breaks with us, too. Art school was a good time in this old tobacco warehouse. They say you make lifelong friends in college. Crystal is proof that’s true.
