“In wisdom gathered over time I have found that every experience is a form of exploration.”

After Judy, Jeff, and I visited Wayfarers Chapel, we got back in the car and followed the coast north. We scored ice cream at Baskin Robbins near Torrence Beach, then headed back toward Long Beach. Above Bluff Cove we stopped to take in this incredible vista view with downtown Los Angeles visible beyond the palm trees and bougainvillea. The trail leads down to a cove. Judy said casually, “Those surfers look so small.” I didn’t see any surfers. Then, she pointed to them below us in the cove. I thought they were gulls up to that point. I had a closer look through the camera’s long lens, and sure enough, surfers! It really put a perspective on just how expansive the view was. I never cease be be amazed at our wondrous planet, or how small we are on it. Perspective.
