best man

It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly two years since Felipe Vogel left. I sang his praises in this post back in 2015 when he was leaving. Today, he stopped by and I was with it enough to grab a shot of him. A lot has happened for Felipe in these last two years. He graduates in a few weeks, for starters, and in August, he’ll be leaving for his next appointment in Africa. Felipe is the son of Missionaries, and he grew up in a small town on the edge of the Amazon. So, when he told me he was going to do similar work in Africa I was not surprised. He’ll be teaching through a mission called Rafiki, which means friend in Swahili. You can see this really great short film he made about what he’s doing. In typical Felipe style, he’s hilarious and entertaining about a topic close to his heart. He is one of the best people I’ve ever met, and I just know that he’s going to do great things in his life. I am so honored to know him.
