This is the newlywed edition of the outhouse. When I was at Market in the Park two weeks ago I finally had the chance to congratulate two classmates on their recent weddings. This is my dear friend William LeMaster and his bride Leah Potter Bush LeMaster. You met William during the Sorghum Festival of 2014 when we ran into each other at the Doughboy memorial. I’m not even sure he was dating Leah yet as she was a recent widow at that time (way too young to be a widow). I’ve known her forever and she’s just as sweet as she can be, just like her parents and brother. I was on track to be at their wedding back in July, but of course, that was the only day the fence company could come by. Sacrifices had to be made, so I didn’t get to go. I was especially happy to see them to offer congratulations in person.
You haven’t met my old friend Tommy (Tucker) Lykins before now. He’s the youngest brother to BFF Robin Dalton. I have loved Tucker since we were little kids playing near the old slate pile at the WPA built Cannel City School. He’s so quiet and laid back, but don’t be fooled. He’s taking it all in and enjoying the ride along the way. Tucker and his bride, Tamatha Havens, tied the knot about a year ago. They’d asked me to do photos of the ceremony but I was out of town and couldn’t do it. Like William and Leah, I was so happy to see them at Market in the Park to finally offer congratulations in person. Tucker and William are proof that you’re never too old to find love, and Leah and Tamatha got themselves two of the best men I know.
