Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.” ~ Will Rogers

Mom gave me the coolest purse I’d ever had for Christmas 2011. It would hold all my stuff and my camera. That was handy when I started the outhouse just a week later. Within two months, however, the zipper began to tear. Pretty soon the whole lining was ruined. Mom was determined to put it back together. She knew how much I loved it. Yet, she was nervous, claiming she’d never made anything worth a hoot in her life. This from a woman who took Home Ec in high school and nearly failed (her words). Two days ago, on my birthday, she presented the finished product. I am so proud of her for overcoming her fear, and further, for making something of exceptional quality with her own two hands. Now, I love this purse even more.
