This door is in a house in Versailles, Kentucky. Today it leads into a kitchen, but long before that, in the late 1700’s, it led into the first courthouse in Woodford County. Today that courthouse is a bedroom. Is this the original door? I doubt it, but it’s not new either. Every time I step into an old building I know Historic Preservation is for me. I want to know this door’s story.
