Sister Kelly and I went to Jon Reynolds’ book launch at Joseph-Beth in Cinci. This is Jon’s first book of photographs, and boy, it is gorgeous. Illuminating Nature: It won’t be his last book, I’m sure. His work is beautiful. The compositions pull you in, and his night photography is stunning. Just look at the cover! Yours truly did a Q&A session with him before he signed copies for the standing-room-only crowd who came to hear him speak about his work and book. We had a blast. I love talking to artists, and our 30-minute chat wasn’t nearly long enough. To say I was honored to be asked to be part of such a special night would be an understatement. I was a fan of Jon’s work before tonight, but hearing him talk about it and what drives him to be his very best just makes me love him all the more.
