This squirrel. It stood its ground behind my tire. We spoke. I asked nicely for it to stand aside. It didn’t move. I took pictures. I got closer. Took more pictures. It didn’t move. Only when I was within spitting distance did it leave… by going under the car. I saw no blood, no body parts, no greasy burgoo splat as I drove away. And that, my friends, is a successful end to the work week. No blood. No body parts. No burgoo splat.
