The vats of corn at Maker’s Mark smell fantastic, strange as that may seem. They’re quite deep, deceptively so, and bubbling as part of the fermentation process. I won’t go into the whole thing because here is a fantastic article that does a good job giving an overview of the process. The vats were one of my favorite sights at Maker’s Mark.
