For months I’ve wanted to photograph the women at the allergy clinic. I look forward to seeing Barbara McNeal (L) and Bobbi Jo Russell (R) every week. That’s saying something considering I loathe needles. UK started layoffs this week. I was struck by how much I would miss these women if they were gone. Every week they make me laugh. They genuinely care about me. Their warm hearts make me smile on even my worst days. UK, for all it’s shortfalls, is filled with people like Barbara and Bobbi Jo. My prayer is that these women stay put, and the bleeding of jobs stops before more good people like them are lost.
