Reinette Jones (L) and Marie Dale (R) lift me up. They make me laugh until tears well up in my eyes. People stare. We laugh harder. Yet, it’s their raw honesty that keeps me engaged. They are each a brilliant example of living an honest, hard working, unpretentious life against all the odds. Instead of turning sour, they’re compassionate toward the least among us. If I was just half the woman these two are, I’d die knowing I did alright by my fellow (wo)man.
