“Grapes must be crushed to make wine. Diamonds form under pressure. Olives are pressed to release oil. Seeds grow in darkness. Whenever you feel crushed, under pressure, pressed, or in darkness, you’re in a powerful place of transformation and transmutation. Trust the process.” ~ Lalah Delia⠀
I have friends who take their kids to Anglin Falls in Rockcastle County then post beautiful photos of their hikes to get to it. Deb Chenault has promised to take me to Anglin Falls and other special Madison and Rockcastle County locales for several years. Today, we finally set out to do what we’ve said we were going to do taking that much needed adventure to Anglin Falls. She wasn’t able to hike to the top with me, unfortunately, but she was sweet enough to hang out by the creek until I returned. I can’t wait to go back in fall when the leaves are turning, and again in spring when the water is more plentiful. It’s an excellent hike for someone like me who doesn’t get out of the house much these days. I’ll be a good sore when I wake up tomorrow for sure. As beautiful as the scenery was, however, the best part of the day was hanging out with Deb. She is such a blessing to me. I look forward to many more adventures on Kentucky back roads with her.
