making a statement
I was driving down Southland today and the train had come to a stop with this car blaring its graffiti statement for everyone to see. I’m fascinated with graffiti. Some artists are really quite brilliant. Some are nothing more than teenagers with spray paint. And some are working out their methods and styles, and clearly, their inner demons. There’s probably some art scholar(s) out there that has explored graffiti well beyond fascination, and if I ever have time to read for fun again, I’ll dig into it. Until then, I’m hoping the next train that stops provides a little more colour and creativity, not to mention positive messaging.
