Crystal bounced into my office this afternoon and said gleefully, “Happy Graduation Anniversary!” I didn’t know what she was talking about at first. “It was 25 years ago today that we graduated,” she explained. Wow! It feels like yesterday and yet a lifetime. She graduated with her BFA, I with a simple BA, and both of us survived the College of Fine Arts and some questionable teachers. It’s true: you really do make lifelong friends in college. Here’s to 25 more, HRB.
