Of all the glorious architecturally intriguing buildings at Shakertown, this little understated gem is my favourite. I’m a vernacular architecture gal all the way. This is the former Shaker post office turned gift shop. There’s not much inside the cramped quarters, but that doesn’t matter. It’s as warm and inviting as can be, and that’s why I love it.
