“I know that no one is responsible for my happiness, but I genuinely appreciate the people who add to it.” ~ Tiny Buddha
Memorial Day is for fallen soldiers. It used to be known as Decoration Day (Memorial Day became official in 1971). I still call it Decoration Day, as did my grandparents. It is a time when we honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice and decorate the graves of our ancestors. We’ve done it for over a hundred years, and we’ll do it for a hundred more I imagine.
