It’s one thing to take down a diseased or dangerous tree. Taking down a perfectly healthy, old tree is another thing entirely. Thankfully, the company didn’t start the saws until after this morning’s presentation was over, but it’s evening now, easily ten hours later, and they’re still cleaning up the felled giant. I will miss its beauty, shade, and haven for the crows. I will especially miss it for the crows.
