gifts from the past
Shero and I had supper with Stacy this evening. Afterward, she showed us the pastel drawing a New Orleans artist created of her and her mother in the late 1960s. I had seen it many years ago on her mother’s living room wall with its companion piece of Stacy’s sisters drawn by the same artist. Kelly delivered the drawing to her earlier this week, and it has just tickled her to death to have it. She was very proud to show it off to Shero, and rightfully so.
