Jill returned to her mountain home after Shero delivered an incredible homemade lunch after the rains moved through. I’m told her dog and cat were very happy to see her, for this was her first time away from them. Ever. Just yesterday, we talked about how hard it is to leave our homes, which stands in stark contrast to how we both were when we were younger when you couldn’t nail us down to any one place for long. We also talked about how nobody really prepares you for the changes in your body as you age. People can talk about it, but that’s not nearly enough to prepare you for when it happens to you. There is no manual for experience. There is no friend like an old friend. I am extremely lucky to have such an old friend in Jill.
