“Once you accept yuur flaws no one can use them against you.” ~ Unknown
What do you see in this photo? I see three people knitting. Do you know why I see that? Because they are knitting. In fact, there were four people within my line of sight knitting at today’s library retreat but I could only sneak three into a shot. Now, you might be thinking, “Gosh, that must have been a really boring retreat if all these people felt compelled to knit,” but it wasn’t boring – well, not all of it was boring – and knitting during meetings is a common occurrence these days and growing in popularity. Some studies have shown that knitting or even doodling while listening during such events helps the brain better process the information. I’m tempted to take it up. It looked like a creative thing to do while forced to listen for hours. Might as well make a sweater.
