“I’m not interested in fighting, hating, blaming, or being petty with whatever time I have left in my life. I want to live. I want to be happy. I want to be loved and I want to have peace.” ~ Laxmi Rawat

above the storm

We had a fun day with sister Kelly in Dry Ridge. Stacy and Kelly sometimes meet for lunch there, and today, they invited me along. After lunch at Skyline, we ambled over to what is perhaps the most unusual outlet mall I’ve ever been to. It’s no longer an outlet for name-brand shops like Nike and Levi, but odds and ends shops strictly aimed at evangelicals. Kelly found a cute pair of earrings for a quarter (that’s right, $.25) and Stacy found what she called a ‘Pocket Jesus,’ miniature. He rode home on the dashboard and saw us safely through the storms you can see blowing up behind us in the photo; rain we have desperately needed in The Bluegrass. I am ever so grateful for the rain and this day spent with two people I love and admire.
