If it rained as much as it thundered today, we’d be done with the drought. Instead, we had sporadic rain followed by blue skies. This shower drew me outside because the rain was like diamonds falling in the sun. By the time I got outside, though, the sun had moved on, the poor mailman came to the porch soaked, and there was no sign of a rainbow. Still, it was beautiful for that brief fifteen seconds, even if this photo isn’t. I hope it clears off for tonight’s Wildcats football opener.
