“When witches go riding and black cats are seen, the moon laughs and whispers, ‘tiz near Halloween.'” ~ Unknown
Shero is, at last, looking and feeling better. She was finally awake enough and cheerful enough to smile at me. We had good talks today, important talks, in between her naps and my work. I was supposed to be in Cincinnati for the Oral History Association’s annual conference but needed to stick around town for Shero. Imagine how my heart soared today when a colleague at the conference sent the photo on my laptop screen showing one of three presentations I was to give in person being given anyway…. by me! Yesterday, I learned how to add audio to a presentation and then have the presentation play as if it were a film. All you have to do is hit ‘Play,’ and there I am, showing you the slides I meant to show you and talking to you as if I am there. Technology is a glorious thing, and I was able to look after Shero, too. #winning
