“Morning Checklist:
Clothed? Ah, sufficiently.
Keys? Yup, just found ’em.
Coffee cup? Full.
Sanity?… Sanity?
And we have a runner.”

traditions

It was “take the family to see Collage for Christmas” night. It’s a lovely little tradition that didn’t start out being a tradition, but it is becoming that anyway. This year’s show was particularly good. I’d even say it was great – from the musical selections to the performances. Nobody was flat (that’s always a plus), and there were some real highlights, like the sax player dressed as The Grinch who Grinched the players around him (super funny), and the pair who sang one of the last numbers (title escapes me now). The woman of the pair was particularly inspired, and I wish I’d caught her name because she had some serious pipes and game. Honestly, I think tonight’s success was down to Terry Keys singing in the bass section. He’s just the best, and Collage is a wonderful event for the family, even though I took the worst picture possible of most of them. Hopefully, they’ll forgive me.
