“Here’s a reminder for you in 2025:
* Don’t chase anyone.
* Don’t beg someone to stay.
* Know your worth.
* Save space for people who matter.
* Accept what cannot be changed.
* Leave what isn’t for you.
* Love yourself.”

Let’s say you buy a twelve-foot-tall skeleton for Halloween, and then let’s say you don’t take it down when the holiday is over. What do you do? You make a Santa suit to fit it, like any normal person would do, naturally. It’s really useful that your house faces one of Lexington’s busiest thoroughfares, getting thousands of lookers daily. But now that Christmas is over, you have to think about what to do with Mr. Skeleton because, let’s face it, you don’t know how to take him apart without breaking him. Do you then dress him as MLK? Add a pulsating heart with an arrow through the rib for Valentine’s Day? Green top hat for St. Paddy’s Day? Elton John duck suit for Easter? The holiday choices are endless. At last, this is how you get your fifteen minutes of fame on the local TV station. Of course, the neighbors whisper, but you don’t care. Your freak flag is flying in the front yard for all to see. And not all those whispers are against you or Mr. Skeleton.
