Every Christmas holiday for I don’t know how many years now, Jeff, Judy, Jen, and I, and quite often Jeff’s sweet wife Jeanne, gather to exchange gifts. We are a tight group of friends, and I feel so fortunate to be in their company and lucky beyond words to have their support both in my personal and professional life. We try to have lunch together several times a year, but we always manage to find an hour at Christmas. This year, we tried PieTana for the first time because Judy and I were headed there for lunch when the world shut down in 2020. Better late than never, eh? We’d no sooner sat down when in walked another group of UK Librarian friends, Margie, Jen, and Helene, pictured below with Margie’s adorable daughter and her friend from Boise, Idaho…I think her name was Cheryl. It was, as usual, a delightful and enriching afternoon. I sure wish we had a week off like this in the summer. I could do with this kind of relaxed comradery twice a year.
