BFFs

Today was Shero’s 83rd birthday. I awoke with a sore throat. Masked and tanked up with hot tea, we forged ahead with our action-packed day in Morgan County. Everyone was kind to our birthday girl, and she was feeling mighty good. Among the many things and people we saw, we stopped for lunch with her BFF Martha Conley and daughters Betina and Hope. You first met Martha back in 2017, but Shero and “Marthie” go all the way back. Mom grew up with her husband, Charlie, and once Charlie and Martha married, Shero gained a new friend. Marthie and the girls made a delicious lunch to celebrate Shero, and it was just about the best birthday present she could have gotten. Friends who become family. That’s the Conley’s for us.
