“Sometimes it’s better to light a flamethrower than to curse the darkness.” ~ Terry Pratchett

spring

The snows are beginning to melt, and behold! Beneath the frozen blanket, stir signs of spring bulbs. The dogs are ready for some warmth. I think most Kentuckians are ready for it, too. Of course, I’m the outlier. I don’t mind the cold as long as the sky is overcast. I find it conducive to staying inside and writing, which is what I need right now. But once it gets warm and the sun comes out, I’ll face the overwhelming urge to dig in the dirt. That’s productive against the weeds, not so much for finishing the thesis. Onward I write, write, write.
