“For now just remember: birds sing, babies cry, and no matter the weather, every morning is new.” ~ Kate Baer

golden hour

It was cold this morning, at only 30 degrees. It’s supposed to drop down to 27 tonight. One of the advantages of living in town is that the temps are usually warmer than out in the country due to all the blacktop and concrete. That means the flowers will often survive, like the iris that bloomed despite the deluge last week. April showers bring May flowers, but sometimes, they bring April flowers. It is a beautiful time in Kentucky, well, except for the flood waters, but if you look past that (God bless the poor people who have become homeless), the trees and flowers are popping with glorious color. I imagine heaven looks a lot like Kentucky in spring….without the floods.
