Last Thursday, Juneteenth, was a bumper day. The final event of the day was taking Shero to see the new Lilo and Stitch movie at our favorite theater where they bring the food to your seats. We ordered the largest popcorn available – extra extra butter – and settled in for an animated film, which Shero adores. It turned out that it wasn’t an animated film at all. It was a feel-good movie set in Hawaii with an adorable little girl lead and killer CGI that created Stitch. The barrel-O-popcorn ended up being our supper, and we had a lovely respite from the heat. It was a fun way to end the day.
