Another day of yard sale sorting and organizing is in the books, but I took a couple of hours out of the day to jam with Let’s Tell Them We’re Astronauts aka Billy Rudd and David Hurst. You first met David and Billy in 2017 when they played the first Tribute series featuring the music of Leonard Cohen (they had a catchy band name that escapes me now). You’ve met David many other times when we played together in another ensemble, starting back in 2019 as the Radical Departures. The ensemble pictured here is something completely different. If U2, REM, Pink Floyd, Nirvana, and Yes had a love child, it would sound like this band. It was loads of fun to play and such a treat for me after working hard to get ready for the yard sale. We’ve been trying to get together for well over a month, maybe two, so it was nice to finally find a time when we could make it happen. To quote Miranda Hart, “Such fun.”
