“Surround yourself with people who uplift you, not those who drag you into endless blame games. Your soul deserves honesty, kindness, and accountability — never guilt and manipulation.” ~ Unknown

ridge flood

I came home from work to find the water was off on the entire street. Shero was still on the deck sorting through a stack of Mamaw’s letters she had set aside. God love her heart, she has worked for two weeks to get ready for the yard sale despite the heat, despite her constant backache, despite everything, she has been determined to get her house in order. And she has. It felt cruel for her to be without water, knowing how hard she had worked. Luckily, not long after I arrived home, Kentucky American Water flushed the hydrant out front, and before you know it, the street had water once again.
