“You can disagree with someone and still be kind.” ~ Unknown

down to nothing

On Friday, I was finally able to park in my usual space only to learn that half of the Newman Center had been razed while I was gone. Last year, I’d noticed that only half of the building had been refurbished outside, but I figured they ran out of money or had other plans. Yeah, they had other plans, alright. Looks like they’re taking a cue from UK by building on with a lot more glass. I’m happy for them. They’ve kept a nice place, and they have a lovely prayer grotto. I’m hoping they don’t lose that part. I’m not Catholic, but there have been times as I’ve walked to the car that Mother Mary surrounded by fall mums warmed my heart and gave me peace. It’s a lovely, soothing space on campus, and these days, we can all use that.

new look?
