“Halloween: a day when we get it right. Strangers come to us, beautiful, ugly, odd, or scary, and we accept them all without question, compliment them, treat them kindly, and give them good things. Why don’t we live like that?” ~ Steve Garnass-Holmes

When you see the Caskey House from the street, you don’t always sense how steep the hill is that it’s sitting on. It’s so steep that the back half of the house is elevated enough to provide a set of rooms with a seven-foot ceiling. I bet kids loved that side yard hill in the snow. wheeeeeee. Also, we broke Shero out of the hospital today. We set the bowl of candy on the porch and watched the kids through the window as they came to get some of it. They’re all so cute, but we couldn’t risk the cold weather and germs. Plus, the dogs wouldn’t think the kids were as cute as we did.
