I have spent the weekend writing, researching, finishing photos, and then writing some more about the Caskey House. There is a lot of dotting of i’s and crossing of t’s for a National Register proposal, much more than any of my courses let on. In fact, they should offer a class just on the nomination process, start to finish. I think they do now, but of course, they didn’t when I was in the program. No matter, I’ll just learn how to do it myself, and thanks to Becky Wells Goodpaster, I can. It’s a lot of work, but I feel super lucky to have this opportunity. All the work will be worth it.
