“Nothing has ever been said about God that hasn’t already been said better by the wind in the pine trees.” ~ Thomas Merton

I’ve been thinking about Shero today. Cousin Lori got in touch with me this morning. Her mamaw, Shero’s first cousin, Imogene, who is 96 years old, had a fall last night and broke multiple bones, including her pelvis. Shero doesn’t have many first cousins left. In fact, Imogene might be the last one on her paternal side. This evening, I brought Shero’s plants over to my house so I can keep them well watered. Then, I ran across this photo. I think it’s one of the finest portraits of her. She looks ready to tackle life and do it with a smile on her face. She sure did, too.  I’m mighty proud of her.
