“Stay teachable. You’re not always right.” ~ Unknown
Jeff, Judy, and I spent the afternoon watching UK and Tennessee battle it out at Kentucky Proud Park. The UK Bat Cats had handily won the first two games of the three-game series. Our hopes for a three-peat were dashed by the second inning when the Volunteers hit back-to-back home runs and kept the momentum. Until the eighth inning, it was all Vols. UK found its second wind, hit its own back-to-back home runs, but it came too late. They lost by a single run. I’m pretty sure it was because of the nonstop bad music blaring from the loudspeakers. I don’t remember suffering such hair-splitting sound at previous games, but boy howdy, we couldn’t talk to each other. Probably just as well. We would have just complained about losing. Nevertheless, it was a perfect day for a baseball game, and I can’t think of none better to share it with than these two Bat Cat fans.
