“If you’re walking through a season of grief, be patient with yourself. Healing is rarely rushed, and God’s presence is often found in the slow, gentle work of carrying us one day at a time.” ~ Unknown
These boys love their Papaw Tony, or Gramps, as they call him. John Anthony carries the strong, silent stature of Gramps, while JC leans toward many of the same interests as Gramps. The boy can fix anything with an engine. If it’s a gas-powered motor, he can take it apart and put it back together. And like Tony, he will do anything you ask. “JC, I need you to fix my mower.” Without seeing the mower or asking what was wrong, he turned shy and quietly said, “Okay.” No questions asked. John Anthony just graduated from High School and heads to Asbury University in the fall to study video/television production. I am super excited to follow his career, and I suspect (hope) he’ll be on the crew for the 2028 Olympics in LA. Asbury has a very robust production program and has had students at the Olympics for the last 15-20 years. These boys are both so good, just like Gramps, and I adore them more every time I’m with them.
