But wait, there’s more! Judy confessed on the way to the Isbell show that she’d never been to Buc-ee’s. I figured we’d take care of that right fast, so after the show, we went down the road to Buc-ee’s where we had BBQ brisket sandwiches, some beaver nuggets – a must for a Buc-ee’s virgin – and cold drinks. Judy went in while I gassed up. I found her looking a bit like a deer in the headlights, so we made a quick exit to eat in the car, but I insisted she have her picture taken with Buc-ee himself. “It’s hideous!” she exclaimed, and then smiled. She’s not wrong. It is quite garish in the dark. At last, friends, we have come to the end of everything that happened on Thursday.
