bleu light (Camera+ and Snapseed)

My mother made this lamp. It’s a champagne bottle. It’s no ordinary bottle, of course. Its bubbly liquid had been enjoyed by my Uncle Ralph Paul Terry on his honeymoon in 1968. He was killed by a bullet to the upper chest on January 9, 1969 in the Mekong Delta near Phuoc Long, Vietnam. I turned 4 just the day before. I remember him very well. Almost 40 years later, at the Vietnam Memorial dedication in West Liberty, I saw his widow, Nila. She was as sweet as I remembered her to be. Now, I get a Christmas Card from her every year. I look forward to it.
