“Constant kindness can accomplish much. As the sun makes ice melt, kindness causes misunderstanding, mistrust, and hostility to evaporate.”

Wally wishes the snow would melt. Instead, we got another 4″ today. Now, the poor little guy has to deal with over 14″ of the stuff. He is completely put off by the spaces I’ve dug out in the grass for him. He wants to go for a walk, that is until the snow gets impacted into his little paws. Then, I have to carry him back home. I feel sorry for him, I really do. I feel even more sorry for the pets stuck outside. We’ve got record lows predicted for tonight and tomorrow. Many an abused dog and cat won’t survive it. It’s not so long ago that Wally was on the street. Somehow, I think he’s pretty grateful to have a warm place to sleep, even if it means he has to hold it. I’m so glad to have him in my life, and I pray that his cold brethren find comfort in the homes of people who will love and care for them as much as I love Wally.
