Some work days are trying. I’m pretty lucky, though. For every trying day, I have four awesome days. They’re filled with co-workers I love, laughter, and old friends. Today was one such day. Observe as programmer, guitarist, general funny man, James Howard tries to climb the metaphorical work ladder. He’d be more successful if it wasn’t a coat rack. He’s a joy to be around, which was why I felt bad that we accidentally left him behind when a gang of us old friends from (the former) Digital Programs headed to UK’s Staff Appreciation Day. Once a year the University feeds us, gives us a T-shirt, and allows various departments around campus to showcase their work (read: hand out swag). It’s also a chance to see friends from other parts of campus that I rarely get to see, like my dear, old friend Keith Ingram (below). We go way back, Keith and I. He is one of the funniest men I have ever known. He’s also a fantastic cook; cookies, cakes, all manner of deliciousness that makes me fat. He never changes, rarely ages, and it always does my heart good to hug his neck. This was indeed an awesome day filled with people I love.
