When we were surveying Blanding Tower a few weeks ago I learned that there was a section of the yard below known as Blanding Beach. That’s where the girls used to lay out and get tans while the dudes looked on from good vantage points in the tower. Here we see Crystal unloading this bit of trivia, as told to her by Mr. Boyfriend, as she calls him. Apparently he was one of the many onlookers. There are thousands such stories swirling around as the buildings are prepped for demolition. I hope I get to hear many more.
