We only have control over two moments in our lives… Here and Now.” ~ Randi Fine

If you follow the outhouse then you know I haven’t missed a day since it started January 1, 2012. That was true until yesterday, at least, when I suffered what was easily the worst migraine I’ve had in many years. Between the searing pain, nausea, and Phenergan coma, it just wasn’t possible for me to see much less string a cogent sentence together. 36 hours later, I’m coming out of the fog and able to look at a computer again. Despite how awful I felt, I actually had a good day. I had a surgery follow-up with beloved Dr. F-P that I didn’t want to cancel, so she saw me while I was having the migraine, hence the Phenergan. It wasn’t just Dr. F-P that treated me kindly; the nurses were sweet to me, the phlebotomist was sweet to me, heck, even the receptionist was as sweet as she could be. I came home, slipped into my Phenergan nap, and dreamed kind dreams all because they were compassionate people. I’m lucky to have them on my side, and luckier still to be back among the living.
