“Keep looking up… that’s the secret of life.” ~ Charlie Brown
Following Charlie Brown’s rule I looked up and found the most amazing growth of moss on this gazebo roof I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen some mossy roofs before, but not big and lumpy like this. I wish I’d photographed more of the ground because there were huge chunks of moss all around. I assume gravity pulled it down when it got too heavy. I love a good patch of moss. It’s one of the things I love most about living in a humid climate. Such beauty.

Janet and I would go to the garden with your mamaw. She wouldn’t let us hoe bc she was afraid we’d cut down the crop. So we’d go where moss was growing and make us a moss carpet carpet floor and have tiny sticks to build a little house. That was our playtime during garden season. Good times. 💕
Must be why I love moss so much
