We had the best time today. Most of us in the Central Kentucky Terry hub were able to gather for Thanksgiving dinner at Aunt Lois’, and I sensed from everyone that we were each truly grateful to be in fellowship with one another. Plus, we got to celebrate Uncle Phillip’s 80th birthday (it’s Monday), and that was a real treat. We even threw caution to the wind and went to Cabela’s to beat the Black Friday rush… but with not much of a crowd, we threw away perfectly good caution for nothing. The food was delicious, a rousing game of Farkle and the totally fun game with dice and Saran wrap (obviously I don’t know the real name of the game) were had, hugs and history and small talk and laughter could be heard from one end of the house to the other. Yes, we had a really good day with more than our share to be thankful for.
