Aunt Jill drove all the way to Lexington to pick up Buddy for a two-week vacation away from me. Between Shero in the hospital (slight improvement today, but not there yet) and an upcoming conference, Lord Basil needed to be with Aunt Jill for a while. The look he gave me when he got in the car just about made me cry. He loves Aunt Jill, but he loves home, too. I’m so happy I can provide a good home for him, though I do wish he’d clean up after himself every once in a while.
