Reinette and I were invited to give a talk to the Anderson County Historical Society this evening, and it was so much fun. They were a great group of people, engaged and curious. They asked great questions and listened intently. This was the warmup for our talk in July to the Kentucky Genealogical Society. Many people fail to recognize the integral role newspapers play in research, whether it’s genealogy, medical studies, space exploration, or Midwest advertising in the 1950s. Newspapers have it all and then some. Both Reinette and I use newspapers extensively in all the research we do, and she might be the only person who loves them as much or more than I do, and that’s saying something. I foresee multiple fun talks in our future.
