Cousin Ray Terry and his team of merry Boyd County Lyons made it to the final four of the state high school baseball tournament. After work this evening, and after a substantial rain delay, Shero and I rushed to the ballpark to catch the last innings. They lost, sadly, to Louisville’s Trinity, but it was a great run. It’s really hard for any eastern Kentucky team to make a state tournament, let alone the final four. Ray’s just getting started, too, so I expect we’ll make all the innings next season. We’re all so proud of him. It was fantastic to catch up with family, even if it was just for a few minutes.
