This is the Garrigus building, part of the Ag North complex being demolished to make room for the second Chandler Hospital tower. There is an ample supply of Brutalist architecture around campus, but few stand out to me as much as Garrigus, in part because it’s so large. This architectural style emerged after WWII and really took off in the 1950s with its “brutal” angles and extensive use of concrete. It has its place in the world, though few appreciate its stark aesthetic. It’s fun to photograph.
